At Chalamthang village, you can hike to your heart’s content. Waking up to the bird calls and after a sumptuous traditional breakfast, you can kick off for the day-long activities. A short hike would take you to Deorali Dara or the Good Vibes Wishing Point. From here you get a panoramic view of the river valley, the forests and the rolling hills. Then a visit to the local vegetable farm can be on your cards. If you are running short of time, then take a short ride in a local car to the Bird Watching Point. If you harbour bird watching as one of your hobbies, then your trip would surely terminate here for the day. However, if the feathered friends do not interest you much, then continue your journey to reach the 164-year old heritage house built completely with traditional building materials and finally reach Rekap Village. You can leave your car here and hike through the forests, cross some mountain streams and reach Green Beach on River Teesta. This is one of the best angling spots of this region.
