Samdruptse Monastery is located on a hilltop adjacent to Namchi town around 35 kms from Chalamthang. A 45-meter high statue of Guru Padmasambhava adorns the hill top. This magnificent golden statue can be seen from as far as Darjeeling. Built in 1997, this statue and the monastery is and engineering marvel.
